Bio

Over the last 30 some years that Mark Lee Townsend has been involved in the music industry, he’s taken on many roles and titles.  Initially from a guitarist with various acts (probably most well known as long time dcTalk guitarist) and later as an engineer and producer (Relient K, Parachute, House Of Heroes, etc.) to a record company exec (Brave New World via Warner Bros) and a mix guy (including Relient K and various worldwide commercials for Lowes and Heineken), Mark likes to wear lots of hats (real ones as well).  New to his pallet of work he has added the title of “recording artist” as he has now released his first record.  Recorded over the last several years in between his work with other artists, “1919-The Ballad Of Rexford” features sonics that will be very familiar to fans of his production work but in the framework of songs written by Mark and rooted in the concept album format (based around the life of his father; a story of redemption).  While Mark may be a bit of “jack of all trades” in the music business, he would probably tell you that he is very much enjoying this new chapter in music.  He hopes you will enjoy it as well…
